About Us
Corryong Browsers Bookshop is situated in the beautiful Upper Murray of Victoria. It is a ‘not for profit’ venture that has been in existence since 2008 when its first Anglicare grant helped establish this Anglican bookshop. Corryong is 128kms east of Albury Wodonga through mountains but on excellently formed roads with the magic of the scenery at the end of your journey.
Our original donation and starting point for the shop were donations from the author the late Elyne Mitchell’s personal collection and from her husband’s Tom Mitchell, MLA, Chief Scout of Victoria and Attorney General, personal collection also.
Currently the Books are donated from deceased estates, old church libraries and from books in households surplus to needs. This results in some antique treasurers being discovered. Over the years we have grown from one room to two and are currently undergoing major upgrades and a revamp of our overall appearance.
This shop exists on the generous donation of time from all our very cheerful friendly volunteers, who are just waiting ready to help you with your needs and often the list of books that you are seeking.
Unfortunately, not all books that we have in our Browsers Bookshop are listed on our web page mainly due to the large number of books that we have. On our web site we have concentrated on unique and antique books that will appeal to many book collectors.
