Possible signatures 1 under photo of Longfellow opposite front page covered by tissue paper with a small piece missing of tissue
2 On the back of the front page with a note by the author with a signature which would need verifying and dated Sept. 28 1878
On this page, there are some ink stamps of various animals.
Each page is gilt-edged and one of the content pages is loose.
